How do I lead my student through this lesson at home?
Grab a Bible, watch the video together and go through the below modified at-home discussion guide anytime you like OR play our online game and watch live with us Sunday at 10:35am on our MSM Facebook Page. We also have the original small group material here if you’d prefer that format.

Special Needs Families:
 Special Needs Guide

Wk 1: August 9

  • Main Point:  Every Bible verse is good for us and has authority in our lives.
  • Main Scripture:  2 Timothy 3:16-17

DISCUSSION QUESTIONS:
Create meaningful conversation with your student(s). Adjust questions as needed, and don’t feel like you need to answer all of them.

  1. What’s something that used to be popular opionion that you now know isn’t true? (For example: the world is flat or a false rumor)
  2. On a scale from 1-10 (no judgment, please give your honest answer) how much do you feel that every single thing is the Bible is TRUE FACT?
  3. Why did you pick that number?
  4. Read  2 Timothy 3:16-17. According to these verses, what ways is Scripture useful for us? (HINT: There are 6 different ways).
  5. The definition of authority is “the power or right to give orders, make decisions, and enforce obedience.” In your own words, what does it mean that the Bible has authority in our lives?
  6. Look over this T.R.A.I.N. like a pro card. Read each point together, and as you do stop and discuss:
    1. In your own words, what does this point mean?
    2. What questions do you have about this point?

NEXT STEPS
SERIES CHALLENGE: Memorize  2 Timothy 3:16-17. We encourage you to do it together as a family! Talk about how you can encourage each other to memorize this Scripture together.
