What We’re Learning: Monologues
Series Overview: Over all of history God is writing a story. We have a significant part to play in His story. Let’s find our parts in His story together.

How do I lead my student through this lesson at home?
MSM goes live 6:45pm on our HopeMSM YouTube Account.
This will be followed by Zoom Small Groups, click here to get pre-registered for a Small Group. If your student is unable to attend a small group then grab a Bible, watch the video together while it’s live or after, and go through the below modified at-home discussion guide anytime you like

Wk 3: October 3 & 4 – My Story Is _____.

  • Main Point:  Your story is part of God’s story.
  • Main Scriptures: Romans 12:3-6

DISCUSSION QUESTIONS:
Create meaningful conversation with your student(s). Adjust questions as needed, and don’t feel like you need to answer all of them.

  1. JUST FOR FUN: If you could have an endless supply of any food, what would you get?
  2. Do you think people are stronger together or on their own? Why?
  3. What makes the Avengers a great team?
  4. READ Romans 12:3-6 and answer the following questions:
  5. Why does Paul start by saying “don’t think too highly of yourself”?
  6. Is one person really good at everything? What are some things that you are not good at?
  7. What are some things you are great at?
  8. Have you ever considered the Church as a team? Look around–have you considered your small group as your teammates working for a common goal? Why or why not?
  9. What is THE goal that we are working towards? [Hope’s Mission = Reach the triangle, Change the world. What’s your part in that, in your own words?]

NEXT STEP
God has made each of us special and has given us a unique role to play in sharing His love with the world. What are different ways we can uniquely share God’s love this week? Make a list together and then encourage everyone to pick at least one thing on the list and try to do it this week.

PRAYER GUIDE
Ask your student(s) to share their prayer requests and close your time together in prayer.
