I was off the grid for a couple of weeks in July when Lisa and I stopped for lunch at a Chick-Fil-A just off the interstate in South Carolina. While standing in line the young twenty-something guy in front of us was moving his phone around erratically, all the while focusing on the backsides of the two women in front of him. . . two women, who for the record, were not there with him.

“What’s that guy doing?” Lisa whispered to me with concern. I thought he was trying to snag a picture. . . pervert. Then as I stepped closer while considering an intervention of sorts (“Knock it off. . . “), I noticed some kind of animated character floating around near the center of his screen. To be honest, I was clueless. We still didn’t have any kind of answer to Lisa’s question.

A few minutes later we were in the car and I decided to finally go back online and check the news (for the record, I wasn’t driving). And that’s when story after story about the new Pokemon Go phenomena began to flood my feed. So. . . now we know what was going on in that Chick-Fil-A line.
