KEY PASSAGE MOTIONS
(No Supplies Needed)
Say the key passage using motions. Repeat several times and encourage children for trying. “He (point up) must become greater, (hold arms upward in a V) but I (point thumbs to chest) must become less (crouch down)” John 3:30 (open hands like a book).
REVIEW
Ask the following questions. Retell parts of the Bible story as needed.
Did Jesus do anything wrong? (No, Jesus did nothing wrong.)
Where did the two women named Mary go on the third day after Jesus died? (They went to Jesus’ tomb.)
Who came down from heaven to talk to the women? (an angel)
Who can you tell the good news that Jesus is alive? (allow responses)
How do we get life with God forever? (Jesus gives us life with God forever.)
SAY • Jesus died on a cross for our sins. But on the third day, He came back to life. Jesus is alive! This is the most important thing that ever happened! We can believe that Jesus is alive! When we ask forgiveness for our sin and trust in Jesus, we have hope and new life. Jesus brings forgiveness and life with God forever.
PRAY
Invite your child to share any prayer requests they have.
SAY • Jesus, thank you for coming to save us! You took the punishment for our sin so that we could have hope and new life. You are alive today! We have life with God forever because of you. We love you. Amen.
