Today’s Bible Story: God told us He would give us Jesus.
The Angel and Mary • Luke 1:26-33, 38, 46-49
Memory Verse: “God loved the world so much that he gave his only Son.” John 3:16, GNT
Key Question: Why is Jesus special?
Bottom Line: Jesus is God’s Son.
Memory Verse Motions:
God (point up)
loved the world so much (hug yourself)
that he gave (hands out with palms up)
his only Son, (rock arms like a baby)
John 3:16. (Open hands like a book.)
Activity:
“These five letters are (point to each letter written on a different piece of paper as you say it and have the children do the same) J-E-S-U-S. Do you know what that spells? Jesus! Let’s put them in order.? J-E-S-U-S. Great job! Now, I want to teach you a song about Jesus! (Sung to the tune of “B-I-N-G-O”)
“God gave a Son to us
And His name is Jesus
J-E-S-U-S
J-E-S-U-S
J-E-S-U-S
And His name is Jesus.” (Repeat as desired.)
Remember, God told us He would give us Jesus, and He did! Jesus is SO special! Why is Jesus special? [Bottom Line] Jesus is God’s Son.”
