Bible Story: Jesus is amazing. Healing the Blind Man • John 9:1-12
Memory Verse: “Everyone who heard Him was amazed.” Luke 2:47 NIV
Key Question: Who is amazing?
Bottom Line: Jesus is amazing
Basic Truth: I am loved by God no matter what so I can belong in God’s family forever.
Practice the Memory Verse together:
Everyone (arms out and around)
who heard him (hands behind ears)
was amazed, (hold hands like binoculars, open and shut)
Luke 2:47. (Open hands like a book.)
Ask these Questions:
- Close your eyes. Can you try to walk around this room with your eyes closed? Is it hard? What do you think it would be like to not be able to see?
- What happened in our story today? (Jesus spit in the dirt and made mud. He then put the mud on the blind man’s eyes and told him to go wash. When the man had faith and did as Jesus asked, he was able to see!)
- How do you think the blind man felt after Jesus healed him?
- Who is amazing? (Jesus is amazing!)
