Basic Truth: I am loved by God no matter what so I can trust God to guide me.

Ask:

  • In what ways was Jesus an example of patience?
  • Why is it harder to be patient with certain people than with others?
  • If you know that someone is difficult for you to be around without losing your patience, what can you do to prepare yourself ahead of time so you don’t react by saying or doing something you know you shouldn’t?

Week 2: April 14

Bible Story: Can’t Hardly Wait (Esau’s Impatience) • Genesis 25:24-34

Key Question: What could you miss out on by not waiting?

Basic Truth: I am loved by God no matter what so I can trust God to guide me.

Ask:

  • What could you miss out on by not waiting?
  • What is the hardest thing to have to wait for?
  • What could happen if you rush through a decision you’re facing this week?

Week 3: April 20

Bible Story: I Keep Forgettin’ (Golden Calf) • Exodus 32:1-35

Key Question: What can you think about when it’s hard to wait?

Basic Truth: I am loved by God no matter what so I can trust God to guide me.

Ask:

  • What are a few things about God that you can think about when it’s hard to wait?
  • Who in your life is good at waiting? How can you learn from that person whom God has put into your life?

Week 4: April 28
