Bible Story: Jesus loves me. Jesus and the Children • Luke 18:15-16

Memory Verse: “A friend loves at all times.” Proverbs 17:17, NIrV

Key Question: Who loves you?

Bottom Line: Jesus loves you.

Basic Truth: I am loved by God no matter what so I can be confident that God knows who I am.

MEMORY VERSE MOTIONS:

“‘A friend (hook your pointer fingers together) loves (hug yourself) at all times,’ (stretch your arms out and turn in a circle) Proverbs 17:17.” (Open hands like a book.)

ASK:

  • Play a “follow the leader” type activity with your kid. An idea would be to have your preschooler stand at one end of the room with their eyes closed while you stand at the other. You can clap your hands and have your kid follow the sound until they find you.
    • Once the activity is over ask:
      • Was it hard to find me with your eyes closed? What made it hard/easy?
      • Were you scared that you may bump into things?
      • I love you and wouldn’t let you hurt yourself.  But, as much as I love you, Jesus loves you WAY more! We can follow Him and trust that he will keep us safe.  Who loves you? Jesus loves you.
