KEY PASSAGE MOTIONS
Say the key passage using motions. Repeat several times and encourage children for trying.
SAY • “Yet he himself (reach up with one hand) bore our sicknesses (reach up the other hand) …; punishment for our peace was on him (make a cross with arms in front), and we (thumbs to chest) are healed (elbow in) by his wounds (point fingers towards each other)” Isaiah 53:4-5 (open hands like a book).
REVIEW
Ask the following questions. Retell parts of the Bible story as needed.
Why did Jairus come to Jesus? (He wanted Jesus to heal his daughter.)
What did the woman who was sick do to Jesus? (She reached out and touched His clothes.)
What happened when she touched Jesus’ clothes? (She was healed.)
What did the men from Jairus’ house tell Jairus? (Jairus’ daughter had died.)
What happened when Jesus went to Jairus’ house? (Jesus made the girl alive again.)
SAY • Jesus showed His power as the Messiah. Jesus healed a woman and brought a girl back to life. Jesus can heal and give dead people life! Jesus died on the cross and rose again to save people from sin and death. When we trust in Jesus, God forgives our sins and changes us to be more like His Son.
PRAY
Ask children if they have anything they would like to pray for.
SAY • God, thank you that Jesus showed His power by healing the woman and bringing the girl back to life. You have power over life and death. Thank you for sending Jesus to die on the cross and rise again to save us. Help us trust Jesus and make us more like Him. Amen
