The Stay-at-home-order can and should be embraced by parents as a spiritual-nurture-opportunity! Families are rediscovering each other, Sabbath rest, and family meal-times! This has created a wide-open window for parents to step in and nurture their kids in the faith. To help parents take advantage of this time we’ve launched a 28-day-initiative we’re calling Family TableTalk. We kicked it off yesterday, Sunday, April 19. For the next four weeks I’ve recruited a stellar line-up of writers who are each writing one Family TableTalk devotional guide, with each devotion focusing on a particular passage and topic from the Bible that will help us all navigate this current pandemic to our good and God’s glory.
Youth workers. . . I want to invite you to be the gatekeepers for this initiative. We’re making it easy for you to resource parents with tools to facilitate Christian nurture in the home. Thanks to the generosity of our donors here at CPYU, this is all free! You can point parents to the link and let them know that they need to come back every day for the next four weeks, or, you can simply forward each daily guide to them on a day-by-day basis.
Take a look at the sample Family TableTalk conversation guide that I’ve pictured below. Then, you can click on this link to find the home for our Family TableTalk conversation guides with a new one getting posted each morning. Click on the link and download Conversation 02 to be used today. . . and then continue to visit the link over the next four weeks to access each day’s new Family TableTalk Devotion. . .
